Lectures, security coordination meet organised

Khoupum Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a health awareness lecture at Ideal School, Khoupum Valley in Noney district on Tuesday as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the lecture was organised to promote Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, and envisaged to enhance and instil pride and honour of our national flag among the general population of the country.
A total of 3 teachers and 70 students attended the event.
On the other hand, Moreh Battalion organised an awareness lecture on national flag at Moreh College on August 6 in collaboration with IQAC to commemorate the 75th year of Independence under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The event was attended by 175 students and faculties.
Meanwhile, Phundrei Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a security and co ordination meet with village GBs at Kakching and Wabagai on Tuesday.
The meet was focused to ensure safe environment and security in the area for overall development.
A total of 18 GBs in Kakching and 41 GBs in Wabagai participated in the security meet.
In addition, various other security related issues were also discussed with GBs.
The GBs assured their full support in curbing nefarious activities and pledged for utmost cooperation to Assam Rifles in maintaining peace and harmony in the area, the PRO added.
