Imphal, January 08 2014: 3 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a medical camp at Old Samtal village in Chandel District on January 6 with the aim of providing medical assistance to the people requiring medical help in these remote border areas.

The medical camp catered to the medical needs of the people from Old Samtal, Sejang and S Bongjoi.

A large number of villagers which include men, women, elders and children of Old Samtal and adjoining villages were treated/ diagnosed during the camp.

The camp was inaugurated by Major General Rajeev Chopra, Inspector General Assam Rifles (South).

IG AR (South) also interacted with the locals and assured them of all possible support from Assam Rifles.
