Kangpokpi, January 07 2022:
Hundreds of people from across Kangpokpi district gathered at Brig M Thomas ground for a healing and deliverance worship during the Divine Visitation Manipur 2022.The event organised by Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship will continue till Saturday.
Rev Fr Jangkhogin, chairman of the organising committee, delivered the welcome address and led the presentation while Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization presented gifts to the Healing and Deliverance Worship Team, in the presence of Kangpokpi MIA Nemcha Kipgen and from leaders of various civil bodies of the town and church leaders.
Many people suffering from different illnesses including people who can't walk, who can't talk and hear, came to the service to receive healing.
The Healing and Deliverance Worship team led by Evangelist Emmanuel I Odumodu from Johannesburg, South Africa, and Rev Rocky Angumei from Yaikongpao Kangpokpi district led the worship service wherein healing was performed in an open space.
Rev Rocky Angumei said that as people of Kangpokpi welcomed Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit through the Divine Visitation Manipur, God would honour and touch them during the programme as "we stand on the throne of the highest God, not in Thomas Ground".
He also said that "we all are one representing Jesus Christ to do good things on earth, not the will of the evil spirit".
"We have come here to heal the land of Manipur Which has to be started from the Church.
It is not going to be from the politicians, IAS officers, doctors, engineers or the underground militants, but it should be from the Church of Christ, who is you and me", added Rev Rocky Angumei.
Interestingly, when the healing and deliverance worship team put their hands on the foreheads of the sick people some suddenly fell down unconscious for a few second and got up healed.
A woman, who had been lying paralyzed for a year, was seen taking a few steps after the prayer while many similar 'miracles' were witnessed during the healing programme.
The healing and deliverance worship service is divided into two sessions.
The first session starts from 9 am till 12 noon while the second session from 3 pm to 9 pm.
The Divine Visitation Manipur 2022 will also be held at various places in the state.
