Liangmai organisations convey gratitude to AR

Liangmai Naga Council, Eastern Zone (LNC-EZ), Eastern Liangmai Chief Chairman Association (ELCCA) and Ahangruak Chief Chairman Association (ACCA) said that the 44 Assam Rifles of IGAR (East) has been helping people in various ways.
In a joint statement, the Liangmai organisations conveyed their gratitude to 44 Assam Rifles for the humanitarian assistance provided during the ongoing pandemic.
They also said that the Banglabung post of 44 AR has also been maintaining law and order situation along the IT Road and at the same time carrying out mobile Covid vaccination cum medical camps in the area reaching out to far flung villages.
The Liangmai bodies said that the mobile vaccination drive brought the vaccine near to home for many beneficiaries who don't have any means to move to vaccination centres.
They also said that unit doctors are sent to door steps of the residents to extend the medical services to the local population.
The statement also appreciated the developmental works initiated by the Assam Rifles'unit.
"Repairing educational institutions by the 44 Assam Rifles in the area will not only help the students but also the parents in realising their dreams," they said.
"The renovation works of government senior secondary school at Gelnel is nearing completion and has become a role mode} school in the area.
We request the unit to extend such initiatives to other schools in the area too.
The students of the area are looking forward to the unit to help them also in repairing their cradle of learning.
These acts of yours shall bring a constructive change in our society in the area," the Liangmai organisations added.
LNC-EZ, ELCCA and ACCA also lauded the 44 Assam Rifles for renovating the women society office in Dikiuram which is one of the Liangmai villages.
"Their efforts shall help the dream of women empowerment in the area.
The other social works initiated by the unit such as water supply scheme for the residents, construction of sports grounds for the youth, tree plantation, youth career counselling to join Army/Assam Rifles have made them dear to the local public as true friends of North East people," the three organisations expressed.
