Hepatitis B & C detection camp held at Chakpikarong

Imphal, October 04 2015:
A free hepatitis B and C screening camp was organised at Chakpikarong Bazar on Sunday by ALT (Anal Students Union) Chakpikarong Branch and assisted by social activist individuals including Sp Kolomi, Ws Benjamen, Rl Khihari and Rd Shangmory.
The diagnosis was conducted by Dr N Biplab Singh and the medicine being provided by Biocon and Virology free of cost.
While talking to media persons on the sideline of the camp Dr Biplab Singh confirmed detection of positive signs of hepatitis B and C in some of the patients and called for creating an awareness programme in the area and to contact medical companies for mass vaccination at subsidized rate in order to control the spread of the disease.
Meanwhile ALT has extended its gratitude to Shaktiman Owner Association Chakpiakrong for renovation and repairing of a bridge constructed across Ratulok (Ratu stream) at Anal Khunou junction in Chakpikarong.
The statement in this regard thanked Hl Thungam, Nl Ngamshel and Sng Angthung for the initiative to execute and complete the work free of cost.
It also thank United Pentecostal Church North East India from Mizoram for extending monetary help to flood affected families
of Chakpikarong.
