Imphal, October 02 2018: The All Manipur College Teachers' Association (AMCTA) has welcomed the meeting held yesterday between MUTA, MUSA and the State Government while terming AMCTA portrays the move as a positive step towards bringing an amicable solution regarding the Manipur University imbroglio.

This was expressed during an emergency meeting of the association held today to discuss the prevailing situation of the university and the colleges under it, conveyed a press release issued by joint secretary of AMCTA.

The association has expressed hope that both the parties would negotiate in bringing a disturbance free academic atmosphere and normalcy in the university.

It also expresses hope that the State Government, considering the careers of thousands of students would release the arrested teachers and students of the university, and initiate an amicable solution for the university.
