All roads under Saikul A/C to be blacktopped by 2016: Yamthong

Imphal, January 02 2014: MLA of Saikul Assembly Constituency Yamthong Haokip has announced that blacktopping of all roads under his constituency would be completed by 2016 .

He was speaking during the handover ceremony of a newly blacktopped 2.5 kilometre-long road to the villagers of Wunghon Village on December 31, 2013 .

Yamthong further said that proper development of roads and bridges in Saikul A/C is his first priority.

Poor roads and bridges in Saikul are due to the negligence of past MLAs of the constituency.

The road at Wungkhon Village has been developed by State PWD under the Special Plan Assistance, the MLA noted.
