Govt restricts CMHT/PMJAY card making

The state government has banned making and publicity of/on CMHT/PMJAY cards by agents without prior permission and consent.
In a notification, Health Services director K Rajo Singh informed that such step has been taken up as the government has noticed certain unofficial agents luring the public for making CMHT/PMJAY cards and posting unofficial publicity video clips in some sections of social media for personal gains without the permission from the government.
The matter is seriously viewed by SNC, SHA and state government.
Hence, it is informed to all the ISA enrolment operators and CSCs that proposal from unofficial agents, representatives of NGOs/CSOs, etc., for making CMHT/PMJAY cards in bulk must mandatorily take approval from the competent authorities that is Director of Health Services (for CMHT cards) and CEO, State Health Agency (for PMJAY cards) .
At least one family member has to mandatorily visit the enrolment counter/CSC for making the cards to prevent unofficial agents from making cards on behalf of the beneficiaries.
Non-compliance of the instructions by any concerned will attract strict legal actions as per rules, it maintained.
Further, any unofficial agents, representatives of NGOs/CSOs, etc., are not allowed to distribute CMHT/ PMJAY cards in public functions without approval from the SHA/SNC and to post unofficial publicity video clips and statuses regarding CMHT/PMJAY enrolment or IEC awareness on social media.
Legal actions under Cyber Crime Act and other rules shall be taken up against all unofficial agents attempt ing to violate the mentioned regulations.
