Komrem Union, North East India appealed to both Mao and Angami communities to restore peace and normalcy in their relationship with the spirit of brotherhood and Christianity.
In a press statement issued by KUM President Lalkhomang Serto said that the dispute over the Dzukou valley could not be settled by two communities alone as it is located at the border.
It could be only done with the intervention of government of India or Supreme Court of India as arbitrator through a writ petition to the court by any of two parties.
They suggested that instead of constructing roads in the valley it is better to introduce cable car or any other forms of transportation which will not disturbed the environment.
The statement further said the valley should be strictly reserved for adventure tourism keeping in mind the fragility of environment of the valley in the interest of both states and the emotions of the natives attached to it could be protected.
