At a press meet held today at the hall of the newly constructed Centre of Excellence here at Takyel, Ibomcha informed media persons that on receipt of written complaints from the victim girls on 24 July last, the SAI Director informed the Lamphel Police station to arrest the accused coach Okram Chaoba.
He further said that the matter was intimated to the Director (Personnel) of SAI in Delhi with a request to punish and transfer the guilty coach.
SAI Director also sent asked Chaoba to respond to a show cause notice served within three days, he stated.
Saying that SAI authority has not remained silent on Chaoba's misconduct, Ibomcha explained the reasons for delay of action as the transfer of a coach cannot be done by the SAI Director, as it has to be done by the Director (Personnel) stationed in Delhi.
