Imphal, January 28 2022: On the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day, CRPF Lang-jing Group Centre dedicated four Open Gymnasium Parks and one Herbal Farm to honour the CRPF martyrs and at the same time spread "Fit India Movement" .

A release of the Group Cen-tre informed that inspector general (IG) of Manipur and Nagaland sector CRPF Manish Kumar Agrawal, who recently took over charge, inaugurated one of the Parks dedicated to Shaheed CT/GD S Prem Ku-mar Singh.

Further, Pratibha Tripathi and DIG (ADM) M&N Sector DK Tripathi inaugurated another park set up in honour of shaheed CT/GD Y Shole Singh.

Another park was inaugurat-ed by Dr Pratima Sharma and DIG (PAW) M&N Sector Suresh Sharma dedicated in the name of shaheed CT/GD H Punshi Singh followed by dedication of the fourth park by RCWA GC CRPF Imphal president Sita Devi and DIG Group Centre CRPF Langjing Madan Kumar in the name of shaheed HC/GD M Bi-ren Singh.

The organic farm was inau-gurated by DIG Range CRPF Imphal RS Rautela and DIG (Int/Ops) M&N Sector PK Nayak and dedicated in the name of shaheed assistant commandant N Manoranjan Singh.

Manish Kumar, who was the chief guest of the functions, appreciated the efforts of GC Langjing for establishing Open Gymnasium and dedication of the park in the name of martyrs.

He also said that this is a result of visionary thinking of DIG Madan Kumar.

In his address, Madan Kumar said, fitness has always been integral part of our life.

Earli-er, men, women and children were always engaged in some or the other physical activities.

But nowadays change in life style and ease of work due to technology has reduced physi-cal activities which in turn has created other health issues. He also emphasised on keep-ing body healthy and encour-aged all women and children to make use of the facility and lead a healthy life.

He said the GC strongly be-lieves in the initiative of Prime Pinister Modi's "Fit India Move-ment" and "Kheloge to Kh-iloge" and continuously having programmes to encourage the people of GC .

The development of four gyms and herbal farm is the next big step in that direction.

In the presence of officers/SO/jawan/families and children, families of the martyrs were also honoured by the IG and wives of all senior officers.

Social distancing was also maintained by everyone who attended the inauguration ceremony, added the release.
