SDWA condemns Karong murder

Senapati, July 27 2013 : Coming out vocally against repeated incidents of killing and crimes on women in the district and the State, Senapati District Women's Association (SDWA) has strongly condemned the murder of P.Kaisa Mao near Mao Karong on 22nd July evening.

Demanding the immediate arrest and punishment of the culprit (s), SDWA has asked the concerned authorities, particularly the Senapati Police to investigate into the matter without delay.

According to a SDWA statement, it stated that such repeated and alarming incidents of violence and crime against women in the District and State of Manipur has increased over the last two years.

"It is indispensable that the State Government and the Judiciary system of our country create protective measures to defend the rights of the women.

So, we cannot continue to tolerate such inhuman and beastly act of any perpetrator who committed crimes that are of beyond human imagination", the SDWA statement said.
