ZUF pays tribute to Rani Gaidinliu

Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) on Thursday observed the 108th birth anniversary of Ranima Gaidinliu at its Council Headquarters.
In a release, ZUF information & publicity secretary John Pame informed that the day was observed with solemn homage paid to Ranima Gaidinliu, freedom fighter of India who was born on January 26, 1915 at her native village (Luangkao), Manipur.
The 108th birth anniversary of Gaidinliu cum dedication programme of ZUF designated camp was organised and observed with Village Authority Council, Luh Phuam, student leaders and church leaders, it added.
ZUF said that the aspect of historical importance and due honour given to Ranima Gaidinliu on her 108th birth anniversary is significant for Zeliangrong and kindred peoples who are struggling for a future secured home soon expected to be materialised with the signing of the peace deal agreement between ZUF and Government of India on December 27, 2022 .
put a stop to such incidents, she urged for tightening the rules and regulations for issuing gun licenses including a mandatory mental health check-up of the licensed gun owners after every 6 months.
Mentioning incidents of police personnel turning their service guns to the public especially women and children, she suggestted.
It was on this day, GOI and ZUF entered a new phase of understanding, relation and trust that will usher in a new era of development and prosperity of the people on equal footing with every Indian in the spirit of republic and freedom.
It may be reckoned that the numerical sign and meaning of 26 has a special significance for India and our people which has not been thought of or perceived.
It so happened that the lady freedom fighter of India was born on the 26th of January 1915, on which day India happened to emerge as a republic nation of the world, it noted.
ZUF continued that the birth of Indian Republic coinciding with the birth date of our Mother Ranima Gaidinliu of which mystical hidden prediction and connotation was not perceived, may have phenomenal signs for India and Zeliangrong people.
"May this day remind us of her contributions, dedication and valiant fight that has inspired India and our people the noble sense of service to humanity and of loyal allegiance to our country," it said.
