'Mission Horizon': Educational tour to Imphal held

Imphal, May 26 2018:
Khuga Battalion of Red Shield Division under' Self Observed and Initiated Little' (SOIL) Project started 'Mission Horizon' for 65 children studying at Muallam Faith Academy Senior Secondary School at Village Sumchinvum.
Muallam Faith Academy, being located at a remote and far-flung area near Indo-Myanmar border, has limited infrastructure and no access to main stream developmental schemes.
'Mission Horizon' aimed at sponsoring an educational tour to Imphal for enhancing awareness and knowledge regarding the rich cultural heritage of Manipur and imbibe the legacy of artifacts and ethnic preservation.
The educational tour involved visiting various archaeological and architectural sites including Manipur State Museum, Kangla Fort, INA Museum and a picnic at Imphal Millennium Garden.
The Bn sponsored the initiative by providing civil transport, free entry tickets to historical places and light refreshments to the students and the schools staff.
The locals while appreciating the initiative, expressed that 'Mission Horizon' has been an educational delight and united the youth with their cultural history and heritage.
They also conveyed their gratitude towards Indian Army for providing appropriate forum to their wards and channelizing their energy towards a better future.
