73 new cases logged

Imphal, July 25 2022:
Though Manipur saw a slight dip in the number of positive cases in the last 24 hours with 73 new cases, the daily positivity rate saw a hike at 11.6 percent.
On July 24 the State had recorded 79 new cases with a daily positivity rate of 8.4 percent.
The 73 new cases were detected while testing a total of 627 samples to peg the daily TPR at 11.6 percent.
The State witnessed one more death to take the cumulative number of fatalities to 2126 .
In a statement, the COVID-19 Common Control Room quoting the State Level COVID-19 Deaths Audit Committee said that the deceased hailing from Kangpokpi had comorbidities and was not vaccinated.
The 73 new cases including 44 women were confirmed positive for the virus at RIMS (8), JNIMS (6) and other testing centres (59) and are from Imphal East (23), Imphal West (37), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (2), Kangpokpi (2), Kam-jong (1), Tamenglong (1), Churachandpur (1) and Chandel (2) .
No test was conducted at Pherzawl in the last 24 hours while five districts reported nil cases.
The five districts which did not report any new cases in the last 24 hours are Jiribam (245 samples tested) Noney (2 tested), Senapati (3 tested), Tengnoupal (4 tested) and Ukhrul (19 tested) .
Altogether 107 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours from home isolation (96), RIMS (3), JNIMS (7) and SHRI (1) .
The recovery rate is 98.03-percent and the total number of recovered cases is 1,35,900 including 5007 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 605 including 2 Central security personnel.
With the addition of 73 more cases, the cumulative number of positive cases in the State is now 1,38,631 inclusive of 5016 Central security personnel.
