Imphal, January 24 2020: A combined team of Imphal East commando and a column of 6th Assam Rifles, arrested two active members of PREPAK (Pro) yesterday morning, during a cordon and search operation at Keirao Langdum area.

According to a reliable source, a combined team of Imphal East commando and a column of 6th Assam Rifles, acting on specific information about the presence of some UG cadres at Keirao Langdum area, launched a cordon and search operation yesterday morning.

During the operation, two active cadres of PREPAK (Pro) identified as self styled Lieutenant Yendrenbam Amujao Meitei alias Pari (34) s/o (L) Ibomcha of Langthabal Kunja Mamang Leikai and self styled Sergeant Sarangthem Pratap Singh alias Chingsuba (35) s/o (L) Ibopishak of Bamon Leikai Nahabam were arrested from near Langdum Lamkhai waiting shed.

The arrested individuals were later handed over to Irilbung PS for necessary investigation and for taking up legal actions, the source added.
