Kuki Inpi-Sadar Hills on root cause of road mishaps

Kanggui, June 23 2013: Reckless driving and poor condition of road is the main factor responsible for the frequent road mishap along the National Highway No.2, said Chungkam Haokip, President of Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills said yesterday at Damdei where an unfortunate road mishap resulted in the death of one Nepali man in the morning at around 10 am.

"Another factors for frequent road accidents is the inability of some drivers to understand and obey road signs", noted C.Haokip, while adding that road signs play significant roles in preventing road mishap and must never be neglected.

He further pointed out that driving under the influence of alcohol is yet another reason for frequent road accident along NH-2 .

He also observed that the neglected road of NH-2 along Sadar Hills is in pathetic condition and the Government should repair it at the earliest possible to avert road mishaps.
