MP treasures Henry's role in saving BJP Govt

Titular king of Manipur and Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba has hailed the role played by ex-MLA Okram Henry in saving the BJP government and in electing him as MP of Rajya Sabha while stating that the party cannot ignore his contribution.
Attending the inauguration function of a BJP office near Citizens' Club, Soibam Leikai organised along with a Booth Sammelan held at the Club ground on Sunday, Leishemba Sanajaoba said that there was high chances of him losing the Rajya Sabha election if not for Okram Henry standing for him to ensure his win.
Similarly, he also switched side and supported the BJP government when the government was in an uncertain political situation.
The MP further said that BJP is gaining popularity due to the development works taken up by the party's governments both at the centre and in the state.
As a result, several intending candidates are in the race for the party's tickets.
The party's parliamentary board and state leaders will choose the candidate with highest winning potential, he said while urging all to support the BJP candidates in the 2022 state assembly election.
Ex-Minister Okram Henry said that he has the highest winning potential among the intending candidates in Wangkhei AC, who are in the race for BJP ticket, and the party leaders know it well.
He expressed his belief that chief minister N Biren and party leaders will choose him and he will emerge victorious in the 2022 election.
Ward No 22 BJP Election Committee president N Ibotomba, former IMC corporators Meibon Phaomei, Jai Kabui, N Kumudini, Senior Citizen Imam Bazar former convener M Maringa, former nominee corporator MA Manan, Maringlen village authority's former chairman Johnson Keishing, BJP Central Committee general secretary Ph Indira and BJP Mahila Morcha Wangkhei president RK Rita attended the programme as dais members.
