TBCA Churches gear up for forthcoming Quinquennial Congress

In view of the upcoming Quinquennial Congress to be held at Ukhrul district, the Tangkhul Baptist Churches Association (TBCA) is making hectic preparations setting up a mammoth hall inside TNL Ground besides renovating the Mission Compound and TBCA Office in the town.
"We have also requested the district administration to come up with an arrangement to improve the traffic system, street lighting and road surface along with cleaning of the town ahead of the event," TBCA sources said.
To be held under the aegis of the Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) with the theme "Call to Holiness," the Quinquennial event which will commence from 26 March till 29 March, 2015 is one of the biggest events of TBCA.
TBCA is one of the 29 affiliating member association of the MBC which has 1, 284 Churches spread across the State.

He also said that five major churches of the town like Phungyo Baptist Church, Viewland Baptist Church, Union Baptist Church, Bumrei Baptist Church and Kaziphung Baptist Church will be the host churches of the mega event.
TBCA has also asked these major churches in the town to gear for extending warm welcome to all the visiting delegations for the congress.
Aimed at bringing together and strengthening the Baptist family in the State, the congress will have renowned preachers Rev.Dr.Benjamin L.Chan-Area Director, East Asia & India, International Ministries, ABC, USA; Rev.Bonny Resu-General Secy.

CBCNEI; Rev.Dr.Anthony Yeoh- Council Chairman, Singapore Baptist Convension and Rev.Dr.Andrew Kim- Director, Global Connections for Advancement, Seoul, Korea as soul enrichers.
Earlier on 8 March, hundreds of combined congregation from the town's major churches under the association converged at TNL Ground and invoked the Almighty's blessing for the mega event.
Coming out of their respective Churches after the usual Sunday morning worship services, the enthusiastic church-goers of the Union Baptist Church (UBC), Phungyo Baptist Church (PBC) and Viewland Baptist Church (VBC) numbering hundreds streamed across the town's thoroughfare from two different directions and finally converged at the TNL Ground around 9:30 am on the day.
The combined congregation then formed a circular human chain along the periphery of the event's main Hall structure being set up inside the ground and raised their voice in supplication asking for God's grace and guidance.
