WASEDEV appeals to stop 'Mob Justice'

Imphal, April 17 2015 : Women Association for Socio Economic Development (WASEDEV) has appealed to stop 'Mob Justice' and understand its advrse effect on the society.

WASEDEV condemned the incident conspiracy hatched out the estranged housewife from Tentha Moirangband who was found married to another man while her former husband was jailed for murder of the crime he never committed, that of murdering the wife herself.

It appears that the mother of the housewife had assisted her and mobilized the local residents in setting up a JAC whose members torched the house and then banished the innocent husband..

WASEDEV says that the unfortunate incident as a blot on the society and womenfolk.

It further appealed to the society to avoid Mob Justice' as it does not punish the accused only but the innocent family members and relatives.

The press release issued by WASEDEV Publicity Secretary, Iraileima has also urged the authorities to conduct proper investigation and not to submit any reports based on assumptions and circumstancial evidence.
