DC team continues to visit Ccpur relief camps

CCpur, July 16 2024: A team of officials from district administration led by Churachandpur deputy commissioner Dharun Kumar continued to visit relief camps opened in Churachandpur town and adjoining locations since Monday.

The team took stock of conditions of the displaced people sheltered at relief camps during which DC Dharun expressed pained on seeing pathetic conditions of children at some relief camps including the Youth Hostel relief camp where children faced problems in education due to absence of basic facilities.

However, certain measures have been taken for children of the relief camp as notebooks and study materials will be provided very soon.

The team led by DC Dharun Kumar visited relief camps like Ngoiphai, Mata IFCD, Vungzagen Hr Sec School, Lanva TD Block, Thingkangphai community hall, Tedim Chin Inpi and YPA Hall, Dorcas Veng.

The DC also interacted with the residents especially children during which he promised to do the best within his capability to improve their living conditions.

He also encouraged residents of the relief camps to take handicraft activities seriously and produce more handicraft products along with stating that the government has been taking up welfare activities for the displaced people.

DC Dharun Kumar was accompanied by ADM Seiminthang and SDO Churachandpur Lalthazam during the visit.
