15-days detoxification camp launched in Bishnupur

Ema Lairembi Handloom and Handicraft Co-op Society Turenbal Leikai Moirang, Apunba Nupi Lup (ANUL) Bishnupur and Moirang Part II Youth Association under the aegis ofHealth and Familiy Welfare Minister L Jayentakumar organised a one day free medical camp and launched a free 15-days detoxification camp at Way to Change, an alcohol and drug de-addiction and treatment centre at Moirang Phiwangbam Leikai, Bishnupur Monday.
Addl SP Imphal West Th Krishnatombi Singh, CMO Bishnupur Ng Jayentakumar Singh, District Nodal Officer RBSK and RKSK Dr Kh Umananda Singh, MO in-charge Moirang CHC Dr L Japan Singh and Pharmacist CHC Moirang K Biren Singh attended the event as dignitaries.
11 clubs under Moirang, Thanga and Kumbi were given various medicines at the camp.
3 doctors (Gynae, skin and Pediatric) of the Bishnupur District Hospital 4 doctors (Medicine) of Community Health Centre Moirang took part in the camp.
More than 220 patients were examined at the camp.
Advisor Way to Change Associate Professor Moirang College M Jugindro Singh spoke at the event about the importance of the 15 days detoxification camp.
He encouraged youth to avoid drug abuse and stay clean and healthy.
The detoxification camp is expected to provide treatment to 20 drag addicts.
