AMUCO, Peikai appeal for sanity

Imphal, November 14 2013:
In view of the rising tension over the lynching of a youth at Ragailong, All Manipur United Clubs Organization (AMUCO) has appealed to all to stop creating communal tensions and maintain peace and harmony among different communities in the State.
While addressing media persons, Advisor of AMUCO KT Rahman said that different tribes and communities of the State have been living peacefully like brothers and sisters since time immemorial.
Certain unfortunate incidents should not be the cause for misunderstanding and hatred among the communities.
The community leaders should sincerely try to ensure a peaceful coexistence in the State, he added.
Meanwhile, Namdunlong Peikai (Court), while expressed unhappiness over the incident, has urged the authorities concerned for taking up necessary action against the culprits.
Conveying its condolence to the bereaved family, Peikai has also appealed to all not to give communal tinge over the unwanted action of some people.
