Imphal, February 13 2020: Results of the Mahakala Festival 2020 State level invitation short play competition, which was organised as part of the golden jubilee celebration of Bramhapur Kala Sangam from February 2 till 12, were declared today.

Festival director Kh Biswamitra announced the marks given by juries of the competition, during a press meet held at Bramhapur Aribam Leikai.

He continued that Langmeidong Dramatic Union's Ching gi Ngai (short play) bagged various positions namely best production, best director, best script along with best actor (male).

The play is based on Ratan Sanabam's script and directed by Ratan himself, Biswamitra said while adding that the award for best director and best script will be presented to Ratan.

Meanwhile, Y Poloi who played Eigya Gopal in the play will be awarded the best actor.

Another play, Leimakol of Peoples Art & Dramatic Association has secured second place.

The play is written by Niladhaja Khuman and directed by L Randhoni.

RK Tomita, who played Kombirei in the play, Van Mahotsav of Yumjao Lairembi Dramatic and Cultural Union, secured the best actor (female) .

Biswamitra maintained that necessary preparations are being made to felicitate the winners on March 9 .
