MLA sets Jun 25 target to jab 45-plus citizens

Kakching MLA Y Rameshwar has stated that mass Covid vaccination programme in Kakching assembly constituency is going on in full swing and June 25 has been set as the target to complete vaccination of all the beneficiaries in the age group of 45 years and above.
Efforts are also being made to ensure vaccination of all the people in the constituency who have attained 18 years of age, Rameshwar told media persons on the sidelines of inspection of mass vaccination programme for residents of Kakching Ward no 1, 2, 3 and 4 at Kakching Wairi Kongoi community hall on Saturday.
While claiming that around 80-90 percent of the people aged above 45 years residing in Kakching and Wabagai assembly constituencies have been vaccinated so far and around 30 percent of people aged between 18-45 years in the two assembly segments inoculated, Rameshwar appealed to people who are yet to be vaccinated to get the COVID-19 vaccine without fail.
He also appealed to people aged above 45 years to get COVID-19 vaccine by June 25 and said that a mass vaccination programme for people of Kakching Ward no.8, 9 and 10 will be conducted at Kakching Mayai Leikai Multipurpose community hall.
The vaccination programme at Kakching Wairi Kongoi community hall was conducted by a vaccination team led by district immunization officer Kakching Dr Kesho Singh Moirangthem in coordination with Kakching Ward no 1, 2, 3, 4 Covid Task Force.
