364 teachers in IW trained under PM SHRI

Imphal, March 12 2025:
A total of 364 teachers from Imphal West district have been trained under the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) initiative through phase-wise capacity-building programmes jointly organised by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Imphal West and Samagra Shiksha (Secondary) since March 10.During the capacity building programme, DIET, Imphal West lecturers A Sharmila, Ng Baby, W Ibemnungshi and N Riturani spoke on the topics "21st Century Life Skills", "Assessment through Holistic Progress Card", "Introduction of National Curriculum Framework School Education" and "Pedagogy Approach as per NEP 2020" respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, DIET, Imphal West principal and programme coordinator Tourangbam Bishwalata informed that PM SHRI initiative, launched by the central government in 2022, aims to, enhance quality of education and infrastructure in schools.
She informed that total of 364 teachers, from primary to secondary levels, were selected by the central government for training under PM SHRI scheme, with the training provided in three phases covering skill development, National Curriculum Framework for School Education and National Education Policy 2020.The programme concluded at the DIET office located inside the DMU campus on Wednesday.
