Wangjing Khunou hosts AMUCO's 'Way Forward campaign'

As part of AMUCO's Way Forward Campaign, a joint meeting of clubs, meira paibi groups and organisations was organised jointly by Young Star Club Wangjing Khunou and Wangjing Khunou Meira Paibi at Wangjing Khunou, Kakching district on Friday.
The joint meeting was attended by Nongpok Ningthou Hanjab N Ngoubi, YSSC advisors N Iboton and Sh Shitaljit, Wangjing Khunou Apunba Meira Paibi president H Premabati, Kakching district Meira Paibi president Imochoubi, ward member H Anita, and Kakching District United Clubs' Organisation president Th Chaoba as presidium members.
Social scientist Dhanabir Laishram, AMUCO vice president K Helen, organisation secretary K Santosh, All Manipur Women's Voluntary Association advisor Ch Usharani and AMUCO publicity secretary Laishram Krishanchandra were present as resource persons of the meeting.
In his address, Dhanabir Laishram stated that the primary objective of launching the Way Forward Campaign is to bring an end to the current crisis in the state and restore peace and normalcy at the earliest.
For this to be fruitful, all people of the state should unite, save the future generation and protect the territorial integrity of Manipur, he said.
Dhanabir also appealed to all mothers of Manipur to contribute their mite in shaping a disciplined society where all could live in peace.
Laishram Krishnachandra, while appealing to authorities concerned for ending the conflict and bringing a lasting solution, said that AMUCO has been exerting pressure on the Prime Minister by submitting an 8-point demand and to translate the same into action.
He then urged the people to discuss the demands and make the same audible to authority concerned.
Meanwhile, Ch Usharani commended AMUCO for its relentless endeavour to uphold the territorial and emotional integrity of Manipur.
It has been taking vital roles in the conflict that erupted since May 3 and campaigning for 'No separate administration' along with special discussion programme, she noted, adding that Way Forward' campaign is to safeguard the integrity and territory of Manipur.
