Writers, students discussion take place

Imphal, November 10 2014: Imparting new skills to students, Writer's Forum Manipur organized a school level discussion programme between writers and students on the theme "Eikhoi Khorirolgee Mahao Khangminnashi" at 11.30 am at Praja High School, Lamshang Writers' Forum, here today.

Renowned lyricist and song composer B.Jayantakumar Sharma and writer Yumlembam Ibomcha attended as resource persons.

Irungbam Basanta, chairman of the ongoing programme expressed the objectives of holding the programme.

Poems which were included in the curriculum written by B.Jayantakumar Sharma and Yumlembam Ibomcha were also read out together by the students and writers.

Students who participated in the recital also expressed their inner senses and thoroughly learnt the poems.

Moreover, an analysis and listening to all the unforgettable songs written by B.Jayantakumar Sharma also took place during the programme.

Encouraging the participating students who took part in the discussion, the organizers distributed a children's book published in Meitei Mayek, known as "Mayoknaba" written by Lamabam Biramani, said in a release.
