DM students on the verge of losing academic year

Pangal Students' Union, Dhanamanjuri University stated that the final year students of the varsity are on the verge of losing their academic year.
In a release, PSU, DMU general secretary Umar Nongjai informed that a notification issued by the Office of the Controller of Examinations Dhanamanjuri University, Manipur fixed exams for the 3rd and 5th semester from 28th June.
But the 6th semester exams of DU and most of the major national universities will be over by late June.
How will DM University administration solve this time gap of six months, he enquired, while questioning whether the university could guarantee that students will not lose an academic year in this situation? .
"If students lose an academic year, how is DM University planning to take responsibility for the future of thousands of students?" Umar enquired.
Pointing out that the admit cards for the 4th and 5th Semester exams are yet to be issued, Umar said that the documents are needed in filling up forms for pursuing Post Graduation in different universities.
But the DM University has failed to provide these basic documents.
The 3rd and 5th semester examinations will start from 28th June as mentioned in the notification but several students are yet to complete their form fill up due to Covid lockdown.
There is no plan made by the university to finish their form fill up process, he contended, while demanding immediate and responsible response from the higher authority as the future of thousands of students are at stake.
