Application called for DHTT course

Imphal, May 08 2024: Directorate of Handlooms and Textiles on Wednesday invited application for fresh admission and direct admission (lateral entry) for the Three Years Diploma Course in Handloom and Textiles Technology (DHTT) at Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Guwahati.

A notice of the directorate informed that applications in the prescribed form available at www.dhtmanipur.com and at the Directorate HQ and District Handlooms and Textiles offices, may be submitted by eligible candidates for fresh admission into the first year and direct admission (lateral entry) into the second year (third semester) of DHTT at Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Guwahati for the academic session 2024-25.The eligibility criteria for fresh admission is educational qualification of 10 standard pass or equivalent with age of 15 to 13 years for general and 15 to 27 for ST/SC, as of July 1, 2024; for direct admission (lateral entry) the candidate must have an educational qualification of 10+2 examination passed with mathematics, physics and chemistry or 10+2 exam passed in vocational stream of any Textile Discipline or two years ITI and either 10 or 10+2 passed with age of maximum 25 years for unreserved and 27 for ST/SC, it informed.

The selected candidates will be paid monthly stipend of Rs 25,000 during the course and aggregate of marks obtained in SSC (10th standard) or equivalent qualifying examination shall be the basis for determining the merit of the candidate.

The last date for receipt of duly filled in application is June 3, it added.
