Imphal, October 07 2015: The third general conference of Manipuri Association North East India (MANEI) will be held in December in Imphal.

MANEI is an apex body of all the Manipuris residing in the northeast India.

MANEI, Manipur State Unit vice president said the organization was formed in 2013 and its headquarter is located in Guwahati.

Different units of the organization exist in all the northeast states and with an aim to achieve its goals, the third general conference of the association will be held on December 19 and 20 in Imphal, he said.

More than 300 Manipuri delegates including from Myanmar and Bangladesh will attend the conference.

New office bearers of MANEI will also be elected during the conference.

It may be mentioned that the first general conference of MANEI was held in Guwahati while Arunachal Pradesh hosted the second conference.
