Orientation cum review programme

At least 36 newly appointed medical officers have been posted in Community Health Centres and Public Health Centres in Ukhrul district to ensure basic health services to the people, reports Mungchan Zimik.
Role and responsibilities of medical officers were thoroughly deliberated during the orientation and review programme of the newly inducted medical officers of the district which was held at the district hospital mini hall, Kamphasom, Ukhrul today.
Ukhrul Deputy Commissioner, Modak Hrisheekesh Arvind, who attend the programme as the chief guest extended his warm welcome to the newly inducted medical officers.
Speaking at the programme, Deputy Commissioner Modak Hrisheekesh Arvind said that manpower in health centres and the district hospital is slowly recovering.
He also assured early completion of the under construction 100 bedded district hospital at Hundung for better medical facilities.
The Deputy Commissioner also urged the medical officers to deliver their duties for the well being of the people.
CMO in-charge Dr Ayao who was also present during the programme highlighted the basic duties of doctors and ways to deal with patients.
Twenty four out of the 36 inducted medical officers attended the orientation cum review programme.
