CCpur police highlights achievements in 2021

Highlighting its achievement in the year 2021 between January 1 and December 31, Churachandpur district police said that a total of 140 cases were registered and 17 hill-based UGs and six valley-based UGs including four PLA and two members of another outfit arrested.
According to a statement of the district police, 17 hill based UGs arrested in the year 2021 included two members, of KNA(I), one of KNF (Non-SoO), one of KNLA, two of KNF(S), one of UKNA, two of UKLA (MC), one of ZUF(J), four of HPC (D), two of SDFK (non-SoO) and one of ZRA (Calvin group).
Of the total arrested UGs, six were detained under NSA.
Regarding arms, ammunition and explosives recovered in the year, the statement said that the recoveries include one Insas rifle with one magazine and 24 ammunition, one AK 47 with one magazine and five ammunition, one AK 56 rifle with one magazine and 28 rounds, four 9mm pistols, with four magazine and 320 rounds, one .32mm pistol with one magazine and three ammunition, one.303 rifle with six magazines, one .303 local made rifle with seven magazines, one .22mm pistol with one round, one .22mm bore rifle with three rounds, six GEL explosive candles, 16 detonators, 15.5 inch safety fuse and two Chinese hand grenades.
With regard seizure of liquor, tobacco products and drugs and destruction of poppy plantations, the statement said that a total of 2665.5 litre DIC liquor worth Rs 2,66,550 and 455.25 litre IMFL worth Rs 1,36,425 were seized in the year.
The district police also seized 8631.26 gm Heroin worth Rs 4,61,61,300,1969 gm Brown sugar valued at Rs 58,55,800 and 817 WY tablets worth Rs 40,850.Further, the police seized 158.978kg opium and 2kg Marijuana.
Apart from this, the district police also destroyed poppy cultivation spread over 365 acres of land and the destroyed poppy cultivation was estimated at Rs 14,81,00,000 approximately.
