Meritorious students of Irilbung feted

Imphal, September 05 2014 : A felicitation function was organized by DSAC Academic Centre, Irilbung in honor of its student A Binanta who received Late Dhananjoy Sharma & Sanahanbi Devi Memorial Gold Medal Award for outstanding performance in HSLC examination 2014 on Thursday.

Several other students of Irilbung area who secured high marks in the examination were also honored during the function held at the premises of Huyen Lallong Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association, Irilbung in Imphal East.

Speaking on the occasion as Chief Guest, Th Bishwajit, MLA Thongju A/C stated that success cannot be achieved through short cut but it comes only when students put in hard work in whatever they do and exhorted the students to be part of the cut throat competition as this will help them in achieving their desire goals.

He said that the society will be flourished only when there is good education.

So, students should thrive towards strengthening education.

Asserting that the role of parents and teachers in moulding careers of students is of paramount importance, the MLA said that competition in education has been on the fast track with the growing time of which students should take active participation so as to meet their goals.

The function was also attended by H Amujao, founder of DSAC Academic Centre as President while Padmashri G Gourakishwar, director of Huyen Lallong Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association; Associate Professor S Chaobihal; Dr H Ibomcha, principal of DM College of Technical Education and H Brojendro, secretary of TWIRDS as Guests of Honor.
