Imphal, November 04 2024: Under the Indus Towers Scholarship Programme, financial incentives were distributed to students belong to the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) for the year 2024-25 .

Indus Towers, Shishu Sarothi and Spastic Society of Manipur jointly organised the distribution programme on Monday at Society's Langthabal Kunja Tapokpi Bazar office.

As many as 25 PwD students were selected under the Indus Towers Scholarship Programme.

Simultaneously, laptops were also provided to six PwD students, two of whom are pursuing PhD, and two Junior Research Fellow (JRF) awardees.

Speaking on the occasion, Spastic Society secretary Laishram Tokendra Ricky highlighted that the emergence of well-educated PwD students will serve as a powerful inspiration for their peers.

A PwD PhD scholar in the Department of Political Science, Manipur University Khwairakpam Budhinanda also shared his personal journey, highlighting the challenges encountered and successes achieved along the way.
