Irabot Memorial awards to be presented

Mr.World title holder Taiwanese-citizen of Manipur origin Dr Ngangbam Shantikumar Meitei would be honoured with the Irabot Memorial International award in connection with the 118th Birth Anniversary of Hijam Irabot, said Secretary General of the Hijam Irabot Memorial Charitable Trust Kh.
Japan announced during a press conference at Manipur Press Club here on Wednesday.
On the occasion of 118th Birth Anniversary of Hijam Irabot, the Hijam Irabot Memorial Charitable Trust would be presenting international awards, national awards, state awards, lifetime achievement awards, best teacher's awards and students' awards, Japan told the media, while appealing to the people from every nook and corner of the state to participate in the programme.
Dr Shantikumar will be given the International award carrying a cash reward of Rs.25,000/- for his relentless efforts towards development of motherland even though he became a citizen of another country, Japan added.
March Past competitions will be held from September 21 and prizes will be distributed on September 30 on the occasion of Irabot day, Japan informed media and said national and state awards in various fields would also be presented on the occasion.
5 Private schools will be given Hijam Irabot Memorial Educationalist Achievement Award, while Hijam Irabot Memorial Ideal Award with cash amount of Rs.50,000/- will also be presented, he announced.
Best teacher's awards and best students awards will also be given, said Japan during the press meet also participated by its president H.Dilipkumar.
