RAL NSS unit conducts Swachhata campaign

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Royal Academy of Law (RAL), Oinam, Bishnupur district conducted cleanliness drives as a part of the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2024, which focused on promoting cleanliness and community-service, since September 24 .
Altogether 25 students from the academy took part in the campaign carried out under the guidance of assistant professors Chongtham Shaibalini Devi and Chongtham Nganbi.
In a statement, the RAL informed that the NSS volunteers sanitised Nambol Keithel, Khoriphaba Ching, Maibam Lotpa Ching heritage site, adopted village of Shanti Bazar in Leimaram, and Nambol bus stand in Bishnupur district.
The drives were carried out daily to raise awareness on importance of hygiene and environmental sustainability.
The campaign culminated on Thursday at Nambol Community Health Centre, a day after the observance of Swachh Bharat Diwas on October 2 .
On the last day, the team also organised a tree plantation drive.
As a part of the campaign, students and professors engaged the local residents in discussing the significance of cleanliness in individual homes as well as in localities.
The campaign was led by NSS programme officer Chongtham Shaibalini Devi.
