Imphal, July 03 2013: A farmers' training programme was held today at Patsoi Part-II Bamon Mandop which was organised by District Officer (H&SC), Imphal West and Pioneer Farmers' and Pioneer Association, Patsoi Part-II under the sponsorship of Horticulture Mission for North East and Himalayan States.

The training programme also saw the participation of women.

Training In-charge of Technology Mission, Horticulture dept, M Nabachandra Singh said the training programme, that comes under Prime Minister package, would be held in the valley districts of the State within the second week of July.

He also said similar programme was also held at Oinam Mayai Leikai in Bishnupur district today.

The programme mainly aims at deliberating on ways to replace harmful use of pesticides with organic farming, M Nabachandra said.
