Informing that party's president Praful Patel and Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar held discussion on the Manipur crisis and its impacts on the people of the state, Prajapati stated he would submit a memorandum to the new Governor Ajay Kumar Bhal-la, seeking his immediate intervention to resolve the crisis at the earliest.
After his return to the national capital, the party will also submit memorandums in this regard to the Prime Minister and the union home minister, he disclosed while stressing the need for opening the two national highways connecting the state with the rest of the country to ensure uninterrupted supply of commodities.
Noting that flight fare is very high for Imphal and not everybody can afford air travel at this rate, he drew the attention of the Ministry of Civil Aviation to cap the air fare, and also to secure the two national highways, the lifelines of the state.
Prajapati further said that the party is not taking up any election related activities as of now, adding that NCP will put in efforts towards strengthening the organisation covering different sections of the society such as women, youths, farmers and minorities.
NCP Manipur president Salam Joy and general secretary Moirangthem Deba-nanda were also present at the press conference.
