Imphal, October 31 2021:
An office of National People's Party (NPP) has been opened on Sunday at Polling Station No 11/28 Laljilakpa Leikai under Yaiskul assembly constituency.
The unit office of NPP was formally opened by Huidrom Vikram, who is preparing to contest the Assembly election as NPP candidate from Yaiskul assembly constituency.
Addressing the gathering, H Vikram said that there is a general notion that the economy would improve if the state is ruled by a political party which holds power at the Centre.
However, people of Manipur have witnessed during the past four and half years that economy of the state could not improve though BJP is in power at the Centre and the state has a coalition government led by BJP.
Almost all the states of the country are unable to procure necessary fund as everything has been centralised except schemes and projects sponsored by the Centre and so BJP government would not return to power at the Centre in 2024 due to this factor, Vikram contended.
According to Vikram, there would be a big change in the country in the coming few years and there is a plan to bring unity and common voice of all NE states to bring development.
He also promised to bring development in Yaiskul AC in the same manner.
The function was also attended by NPP Yaiskul block president Phurailatpam Guneshor Sharma and other leaders of the party.
