Garib Kalyan Sammelan: Biswajit interacts with IE beneficiaries

Agriculture, power, forest, environment & climate change minister Th Biswajit Singh participated in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's nationwide interaction programme with scheme beneficiaries conducted under the banner 'Garib Kalyan Sammelan', at Panchayat Bhavan, DC Office Complex, Porompat on Tuesday.
The district-level event organised by Imphal East district administration was linked with the national event at the Ridge Ground, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh wherein the Prime Minister interacted with beneficiaries of different schemes from across the country through video conferencing.
Speaking as the chief guest, minister Biswajit informed that extensive awareness programmes will be carried out regarding the government schemes so that more and more deserving citizens could avail the benefits.
The minister also interacted with beneficiaries of the district.
Altogether 20 beneficiaries each of the 16 government schemes totalling over 400 participated and shared their experiences during the programme.
Wangkhei MLA Thangjam Arunkumar, Kshetrigao MLA Sheikh Noorul Hassan, Imphal East Zila Parishad adhyaksha P Bimola, deputy commissioner of Khumanthem Diana, ADM Shamim Ahmad Shah and other district level officers also participated in the event.
THOUBAL: Joining the rest of the country, Thoubal district administration organised the Garib Kalyan Sammelan and interaction programme with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at DC Thoubal Counting Hall on Tuesday.
The event was attended by MAHUD minister Y Khemchand Singh, Heirok MLA Th Radheshyam, Thoubal Zilla Parishad adhyaksha Hasina Begum, district level officials and beneficiaries of different schemes.
During the function, beneficiaries coming from different parts of the district lauded various schemes provided by the government to uplift the poor and needy people.
A film showcasing the various schemes implemented by the government and an interaction of the beneficiaries with the dignitaries and live broadcast of the national function held in Shimla were part of the function.
KAKCHING: Kakching district administration organised district level function of Garib Kalyan Sammelan at Kakching Wairi Kongoi community hall which was attended by MLAs Paonam Brojen, Dr Usham Deben, Yumnam Radheshyam, Kakching Zila Parishad adhyakshya Phuritsabam Jiten Singh as chief guest, guests of honour and president respectively.
Kakching DC Somorjit Salam highlighted the various schemes being implemented in the district while four selected beneficiaries shared their experiences and lauded the Prime Minister and the chief minister.
The district level event was also linked with the national event where the PM Modi had an interaction with some of the beneficiaries across the country.
BISHNUPUR: Bishnupur district administration joined the nation in organising the Garib Kalyan Sammelan, Prime Minister's interaction with beneficiaries of various schemes through virtual mode on Tuesday at Kiyamba Shanglen, Bishnupur.
Speaking on the occasion, minister Govindas Konthoujam informed that the interaction programme was initiated to understand how these schemes have brought about ease of living for the citizens.
Reiterating the slogan Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas', he expressed that sincere implementation of the schemes will result in overcoming poverty and ensuring sustainable livelihood meant for unemployed youths to bring about overall development in the district.
Govindas later interacted with the beneficiaries, who shared their experiences on the benefits of the various welfare programmes being implemented by the government.
The Sammelan is to connect the public with the elected representatives to get feedback through direct interaction and ensure that no one is left behind.
The event was also attended by MLAs Tongbram Robindro, Irengbam Nalini Devi and Thongam Shanti and other officials of the district.
