Tribal cultural festival to be held

With the aim of improving relations and the understanding among myriad tribal groups of Manipur and their brethrens through music, dances, songs and dresses Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Students' Union (IGNTUSU) will organise one day Cultural Festival on May 11 at their University Complex located at Adimjati Complex, Chingmeirong.
According to a statement issued by IGNTUSU President Bowang Kho, the main objective in organising the festival was to expose the hidden talents of tribal youths in the field of art and culture in a common platform.
During the festival attractive events like Song competition, traditional and modern blues where the lyrics will be based on the festival theme will be held.
The judges of the competitions will be the popular tribal folk singers.
Cultural dances and traditional dress exhibitions from different tribes of Manipur will be main attractions during the festival.
