53 new cases logged

Imphal, July 30 2022:
Manipur recorded 53 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours which is a sharp drop from the 98 recorded on July 29.The 53 new cases, all drawn from amongst the civilians, were detected while testing a total of 590 samples to peg the day's positivity rate at 9 percent.
The number of active cases now is 582 including 3 Central security personnel.
The 53 new cases were detected at RIMS (8) and other testing centres (45) .
The newly infected persons are from Imphal East (15), Imphal West (21), Thoubal (3), Kangpokpi (2), Ukhrul (2), Senapati (4), Tamenglong (1), Churachandpur (3) and Chandel (2).Seven out of the 16 districts in Manipur did not report any new positive case in the last 24 hours with Pherzawl not testing any sample.
The other six districts which did not return any new cases are Bishnupur (23 samples tested), Jiribam (68 samples tested), Kakching (25 samples tested), Kamjong (3 samples tested), Noney (2 samples tested), Tengnoupal (2 samples tested) .
No deaths were reported in the last 24 hours and the death tally remains unchanged at 2129.In the last 24 hours 86 persons were discharged from home isolation (56), RIMS (4), JNIMS (2), SHRI (4) and simply given as 'Discharged' (20) .
With 53 more added, the cumulative number of positive cases is now 1,39,037 including 5017 Central security personnel while the number of recovered cases is 1,36,326 with 5007 Central security personnel.
The recovery rate is 98.05 percent.
On July 29 a total of 5609 vaccines were administered taking the total number of vaccines administered to 31,01,985 inclusive of 12,86,300 second dose and 2,02,035 precautionary dose.
Overall 53.97 percent of the eligible population have received the second dose while 62.20 percent have received the first dose.
On July 29, a total of 84 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 5 B Type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres.
At JNIMS out of the 38 Covid beds, 22 are occupied while at RIMS out of 62 Covid beds 38 are occupied.
