Imphal, October 29 2015: One person identified as Yumnam Priyokanta and his son Lakshmikanta (16) of Yumnam Leikai Lairembi Maning under Imphal Police Station sustained injuries after a bomb exploded at their gate on Wednesday night.

Sources said that the bomb exploded at around 9 pm when Lakshmikanta opened the gate to let in his father's car.

The two had been undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital, Langol.

Priyokanta is reported to be a lecturer in Goura Govind College.

Meanwhile, condemning the blast, locals of Yumnam Leikai Lairembi Maning staged a sit-in protest on Thursday at Nambul Mapan and appealed the authorities not to let such incident occur in future.
