Four KCP (Maoist) arrested; armed recovered

Imphal, April 29 2015 : Police arrested four KCP (Maoist) cadres from different parts in the valley.

According to statement issued by Police PRO RK Tutusana, Imphal East District Police Commando conducted frisking and checking and nabbed one active member of KCP (Maoist) namely Sagolsem Umakanta alias Sirsum (42), son of late S Yaima of Charangpat.

From his disclosure two other cadres were also arrested.

The apprehended cadres were identified as Ningthoujam Telheiba Meitei alias Boy (20), son of N Babu Meitei of Chajing khunou, Sugnu and Ningthoujam Silhenba Meitei alias Wanglen alias Tondomba (21), son of N Ibohal of Laisoi, Moirang PS. From the further disclosure of N Silhenba Meitei, one .45 pistol with 6 live rounds; three .32 live round of ammunition; 14 sticks of PEK (Explosive Substance); two WT set; three banner of KCP (Maoist); three red flag with stars of KCP (Maoist) were seized from the house of one Konjengbam Ambika alias Abi of Moirang Phairembam Leikai.

On follow up action, a team of Imphal East District Police Commandos including Women Police another cadre namely Sapam Sophia alias Yai (35), daughter of late S Achoubi of Nongmeibung Academy road was also arrested on April 27 .

A case has been registered at Porompat Police Station and investigation is going on.
