Awareness program on communal harmony held

Imphal, November 23 2014:
The All India Women's Conference of Manipur State branch has conducted a "One Day Awareness Programme" on Communal Harmony at Thanga Amusana Girls' High School Conference Hall on November 21, informed a release today.
Kh Sanayaima, Zonal Education Officer of Bishenpur and N Chaoba, National Awardee and Retd ZEO of Bishenpur graced the function as President and Chief-Guest respectively with Pradhan of Thanga Gram Panchayat, N Bidyarani as the Guest of honour.
The awareness campaign was attended by 150 students and local leaders.
Further, the Manipur Peace and Integrity (MAPI) Council of Imphal had also today organized a campaign entitled "See the Place and Meet the Place" in its ongoing mission to maintain peace and harmony in the state.
Dr K Rajo Singh, Director of Family Welfare Services of Manipur flagged off the campaign.
A team of supporters of the campaign make a visit to the Bumlen Pat at Senapati district where they discussed the current issues and grievances faced by the people of the area, stated the release.
