Student's role pivotal in nation building: Govindas

Bishnupur, December 22 2024: Highlighting the contributions of student community, which serves as the foundation of future society, youth affairs and sports minister Govindas Konthoujam said that students play a pivotal role in nation building.

Minister Govindas Konthoujam was speaking at the launch event of the 11th Unique Free Revision Course for the students, who are appearing in the HSLC examination.

The event, held at Ningthoukhong Higher Secondary School, was organised by All Brothers Committee Ningthoukhong under the sponsorship of K Gonendro Foundation, on Sunday.

The revision course targets students from Bishnupur district preparing for the HSLC exams.

Over 150 students are participating in the coaching, and the course will continue until February 2 .

In his address, Govindas stressed the importance of education in shaping a person into a successful and well-rounded individual.

He highlighted that building a career takes time, but it can be destroyed in an instant.

He also assured that he would remain committed to fostering good students and citizens, urging students to work hard to achieve success.

The minister further assured that he would address the shortage of teachers at Ningthoukhong Higher Secondary School and work to improve its infrastructure.

The function was also attended by Ningthoukhong Higher Secondary School principal T Pusparani Devi, Bishnupur SP Ksh Ravikumar and other dignitaries.

Counseling sessions and mock tests were conducted for the students.
