Learn to appreciate good works of Govt: RK Imo

Imphal, November 19 2021: Sagolband MLA RK Imo, who recently joined BJP, has called upon all concerned to give up the habit of criticising the government all the time but to learn to appreciate the good works done by it.

While inaugurating a newly constructed Shanglen (shed) of Ibudhou Moirangpokpa at Keishampat Thokchom Leikai on Friday, RK Imo said that the government can make mistakes sometimes and the public made share suggestions to rectify those mistakes instead of just criticising.

It is unfortunate for Congress party to indulge in criticising the government all the time.

It is true that Congress government took up several works in its 15 years of rule.

At the same time, the BJP government is also implementing various people-oriented projects and programmes in the last five years.

Congress should learn to appreciate the good works of BJP government if it can criticise the mistakes, he stressed.

A good vehicle needs a good driver to steer away from mishaps.

Likewise, Congress party needs to replace its outdated leaders with young and visionary leaders to flourish.

The party needs a change in leadership right now, the MLA suggested.

On the other hand, RK Imo said that it is the duty of an elected representative to ensure that development funds sanctioned by the government reach the public in time and with complete transparency.

Committed and transparent representative is a must to improve living standards of the public, he said.

The newly constructed structure was built at a cost of Rs 25 lakh from his local area development fund.

The inauguration was delayed due to Covid-19.It will resolve the inconvenience faced by the local people due to lack of public space, he said.

RK Imo also assured of translating into action proposals made by the local residents.

Maintaining that Sagolband AC is one of the most advanced constituencies in the state, he urged the public to support him for bringing further development in the next five years.

Manipur People's Club advisor Takhelchangbam Tombi presided over the function, which was also attended by Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPC) convener H Sibananda as guest of honour.
