Kamalbabu JAC, others meet Governor

Representatives of the JAC against the missing of L Kamalbabu called on Governor Lakshman Prasad Achaiya at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday, urging to locate whereabouts of the missing person at the earliest, through submission of a memorandum to the Governor.
Addressing the media after six members of the JAC including Kamalbabu's wife met with the Governor, JAC spokesman Moirangthem Ibopishak said that the Governor disclosed about pressing the 57th Mountain Division GOC to locate Kamalbabu.
Ibopishak opined that instead of authorities assuring that search is on, handing over Kamalbabu safely to his family would be appreciated by all.
Meanwhile, All Manipur Dalit Development Association (AMDDA) president Dr T M Rajen Ayangba, secretary T Omesh along with other members called on the Governor and apprised him about the issues faced by the Dalits in the state.
In a release, PRO Raj Bhavan informed that while discussing on various central schemes, the Governor asked the team to submit a detailed report on how many people of the com =munity have been deprived of such schemes.
The Governor assured support to every step towards bringing them up.
On the other hand, Bharat Vikash Parishad regional manager professor Premjit Singh along with five representatives called on the Governor and apprised him about the various philanthropic activities taken up by the Parishad.
He said that the Parishad not only extends help to the marginalised sections of the society but also works for the differently-abled persons and women.
As a part of the Anaemia Free India campaign, various health camps were organised and cases detected treated.
Tricycles, wheelchairs, hearings aid, etc., have been distributed, the release mentioned.
It further added that the Governor, while appreciating the philanthropic activities of the Parishad, urged them to collaborate with the Raj Bhavan in the Anaemia Free campaign and assured support to any initiatives of the Parishad.
The Governor also asked them to organise youth-oriented programmes to instil sense of nationalism so that they can contribute for a developed and prosperous nation.
