Advocacy workshop in oil exploration held

Advocacy Workshop on Oil and Natural Gas Exploration in Mizoram was today organized by Mizo Academy of Sciences for Ministers and MLAs today at I&PR Conference Hall.
Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla made his presence felt as a Chief Guest.
Addressing the function, Chief Minister Lal Thanhawla said that he appreciated organizing a Workshop on Oil and Natural Gas Exploration in Mizoram for legislators.
He said that he hoped the expert and the legislators will try to explore the wealth of the Mizoram.
He also mentioned that the exploration companies in Mizoram are often directed and asked to do their works faster.
The Advocacy Workshop today was presided over by Dr.H.Lalthanzara, MAS President and he mentioned how they organize the workshop.
He thanked to the Ministers and MLA attending the workshop giving a priority on their invitation.
At the workshop function, Dr H.Lallenmawia, Director of Geology & Mineral Resources Department presented a paper with a topic of 'Oil and Natural Gas Exploration Scenario in Mizoram', and Dr K.Vanlaldinpuia mentioned the topic of "Oil and Natural Gas Exploration in Mizoram- Precursory Measures and Suggestions".
A discussion programme under the guidance of Lalsawta, Finance Minister followed.
The Advocacy Workshop was attended by Mizoram Legislative Assembly Speaker Hiphei, Minister Romawia, MP Vanlalzawma, Parliamentary Secretaries and MLAs.
